They're addicting...and so easy! I was preparing myself for a lot of negative reactions to them, but it turns out they're pretty popular. A benign way to get a point across! 😃 Thanks Gloria!
When the primary school teacher at the entrance to the school asked me what I would like to become, a carousel started spinning in my head, because I did not understand the landmarks of this life. Other first-graders croaked: - an astronaut. a cop, a doctor, but I did not hear anything about janitors from the crowd, wishes.
We have a song from the group "dick forget it", 1990, they sang about a dreamer there. .
Remembering the words of the devil from the movie - Millennium, I need your time, today I understand that he wants to seize time and reality. . But he will not succeed. . .
I’m so used to emoji, that I’m left wondering about tone in text messages.
“Ok” with a 👍 can mean agreement
While “ok” without can mean a LOT of things… some of them really NOT agreement. My dad refuses to use them (73.. old dogs and new tricks), so to get our record straight, I just call him instead.
Yes…. calling your dad in that case is the logical way to go. And you’re right… you have to have some empathy for how the other person might I interpret what you’re trying to say! So picking up the phone and calling will leave no doubt!
Here's another bit of information about emoji ... the word, though. The plural is "emoji". The Japanese language doesn't change a word to create its plural form; instead, singular versus plural is specified by context. 🙇
Here I sit, having returned from my Zencation with my dear friend, trying to get myself to work on my dissertation when in dings an email inviting me to 💃💃with another cool essay by Susan. I suddenly realize that if I could use emojis, my diss would effing write itself. But no, back to the academic word salad. I’ll take🦉💩😳🥰 over performative Bs words life “reify”, “”rhyzomatic” and “excursus” every day. Thanks chickie, for reminding me how creative humans can be.
Emoji's are fun. I can be rather cathartic at times when I'm telling a story. I have to act it out all the parts. 😅 Exclamation points are vital to my existence!!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊 🍾🍷🍸🍹🍺🍻🥂🥃 Have an awesome day!!!!!! 👌 🥰😍🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My son-in-law has one of best restaurants in the city. Travail Kitchen and Amusements. Google it. He has a few restaurants. Last year his pizza was voted in the top 25 best pizza in the country. We'll eat well.
Excellent...I'm so glad to know this. First round is on me! 🍷🥂🍺 I just googled from the farm in Missouri to Minneapolis. 7 hours! Not saying you're in that city but I was trying top get some context! Anyway, 7 hours is nothing! OK. We'll see how things go! HUGS!!
Fascinating to watch how languages change over time. Must admit I like them, but I wonder if emojis are part of a trend where people get less skilled at use of words. Check out the difference between things written by uneducated people in the late 19th versus early 21st centuries. Young people today can't write in cursive, wonder if they will be able to write at all in 100years!😜😜
Well, you make a good point, Don. The digital age has really changed things. Maybe in 100 years, we wont HAVE to write, but we will need to communicate with words... typed or spoken into a device...I dont know. And while I can write in cursive, I find myself printing out things...I have no idea why!?
I’m a huge emoji user. Also exclamation points, but I often find myself wishing that there was a punctuation mark that’s “in between” an exclamation point and a period. Since there isn’t, I find emojis useful to sort of set the tone of my sentences when I think that ending in a period is too solemn or dull but an exclamation point is too overexcited, lol! 🤷🏻♀️ (see?)
Love this!!!
Thanks Cherie...it's time we came clean about using these cute little symbols! 😂😂
🤪👍💙
LOL I'm glad you're a member of the Emoji Lovers group! :) 💙
😃 going to keep using them 😉
YUP! Me, too! 🤓
No way 💩 isn't higher than 98th...
🤣 let’s help move it up! 😂
I can’t live without them. 💯

Alas, I am an old, so I use the OG. :-), :-D, :-P, and ;-)

Ah yes...the cat emojis are so clever. My brother is a real cat person and he uses them a lot! 😹😸😺🙀
Now write your Saga in detail about the multiplication table.
Oooh…. Math is not my strength! 😳😂

OH WOW! Thats really interesting! Thanks Jackie. I did not know this. ✌️🤓
The only reason I know it is because it was drilled into my head almost as much as all the kata I learned in my martial arts dojo! 🤣
Very cool...I love to learn! 🤩

Don't cry! You're doing brilliant work...just dont use emojis!
You know I'm a word geek, so I'll be looking up rhyzomatic, reify, and excursus. 🤣
On Instagram, find Don Huely, The Word of the Day. He is incredible, quirky, and memorable.

Thanks Sister! I see cake and wine and presents in your message! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You're a Libra. I'm an Aquarius. I blame all my shortcomings on that fact. 🤣
Listen, we have got to meet someday. What state are you in?
I'm in Minnesota. You name the time and place. I'm there. You have an open invitation here.

My cursive is illegible to anyone but me.😂😂
My cursive is illegible even to me!😏
It's a lot of work for me to do cursive, so I print in block letters! I admire beautiful handwriting though.

Right...I get that. A symbol that is not too excited but still positive. Let's invent one! 😬
