Great song choices this week Susan. I could listen to Bonnie Raitt sing the phone book. I first started listening to her when, Nick Of Time, was released. That album really popped for her.
I think that album is in the Rolling Stone top 500.
As you know, Iβm not a fan of most types of music, but I listen to the ones you share. Thanks for the education, I didnβt know there were so many different genres out there. Thanks for sharing.
Well I appreciate that Sharon! Music is good for the heart and soul! I just canβt imagine my life without it! Iβm honored that you give a listen to whatβs here! π₯°. Thanks!

"Crazy Mama" was the only one of Cale's own recordings to make the top 40, though (as you noted) Clapton's popular covers of "After Midnight" and "Cocaine" raised his profile.
LOVE Jewelβs song!!! Also love listening to the rest of your list!!
I was a semi- country listenerβ¦ mostly for Dwight Yoakam (cute tooβ¦ with his hat on! ππ) I even have a picture taken with himβ¦ apparently I was obsessed back in the day!! Have a nice week everyone!!!!!!
Beautiful love songs. Jewel is a fabulous songwriter. I love Bonnie Raitt. "Redneck Mother" was made a hit by Johnny Paycheck, a native of Portsmouth, Ohio. JJ Cale is one of the most important songwriters of our generation. I wish I could have met Tim. You two indeed had a "thing going on", and you still do.β€οΈπ
Fabulous as always.

Sing the phone book. β€οΈ You bet! That album was released in 1989 and itβs still on that list! Sheβs such gift!

He was a great songwriter, wasn't he? He just wasn't one for the spotlight which is weird since he was so talented.

I had my country moments for sure...and of course, a hot guy who can sing....I dont care what the genre is. ππ Hugs, Tess! π
