I am writing from Australia & am sitting here utterly horrified at what has just happened ........ For once, no, perhaps twice, in this Century I am rendered all but Speechless

I'm sure America has had worse days - but I just cannot think of any of them just now

The irony is most of the "uneducated swill" who voted for this Cretin were actually put there, or kept there, by RepubliCLOWNS increasing inequality by Reagan's Tax Cuts & then Tronald Dump's & their various schemes to keep the uneducated in their place

Education won't work, getting Rupert & Fox out wouldn't either

Perhaps they need to try "bribery" ? After all it seems to work in some of these Gerrymandered Red Districts

Mind you, RFK might single-handely start the next Pandemic himself & kill most of them with Dumpcare - that covers everyone with 6ft of soil

All I can add is that I believe in Karma & their day will arrive & perhaps far sooner than we think ?

Judge Merchan in a few weeks - 5879 years in Jail ........ Oh well we can but dream

Tell Jack Smith he can hide out in my Shed any time & any other "Dump Refugees" that need some place to "disappear"

Cheers

Women for too long have handed the care of the USA to menfolk. Perhaps after WWII we thought they had seen death and destruction so understood the better way to be strong and protect!? We finally learned in Vietnam that war only damned our men into the nightmare world of survival by any means.

The world needs to know women are all in now, to save this beautiful country along with ourselves. The men who love us will vote with us!

Vote for Kamala, let's smash the glass ceiling forever.

Exceptional piece Susan, having travelled the globe, not for a couple years now, however the future of this country is in a perilous state! I’ve studied world history and it’s politics for years and have come to several conclusions… Clearly real history is not taught to us in school. They don't tell us about the rich collusion that conspired to defeat William Jennings Bryan, or about the Jekyl Island coup, or the attempt to overthrow FDR (who I maintained was eventually killed). They don't tell us about War Plan Red, or how tenuous our relationship was with Great Britain in the early 1900s. They don't explain the origin of CIA, or relationship with Galen Org. They lied about Gulf of Tonkin. They don't tell us about Admiral Kimmel's testimony from Pearl Harbor. They don't tell us how Truman regretted formation of CIA, after Kennedy assasination. However, they are quite willing to feed us bullshit, such as Columbus discovered America, and oil comes from fossilized dinosaurs. Absolutely ponderous. The fact is, there are unreported trillionaires in this world, the marionettes of billionaire puppets, with vast power and resources. Woke to me, is about people waking up to the fact that we have been lied to for far too long. The fact that the $$$ owned media does not report that, but tries instead to redefine and obfuscate the meaning of woke is very telling. The promotion of civil war is disturbingly under way by $$$ TPTB.

I'm on Planet Beautiful British Columbia enjoying not having to think every waking minute about the election. I have to walk the dog up the mountain, and today he got very agitated when he saw the BEAR. I'm learning how to manage dogs and bears, so I can keep climbing up the trails. I'm not that worried. I don't think Trump has the numbers, and I fundamentally believe that most Americans want to be positive, entrepreneurial, and move forward. If I'm wrong, I'll adopt Susan and she can help me navigate the bears!

Thank you Susan for what you’ve written. Your words reminded me of the phrase “The fate of the nation was riding that night” from The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere. In today’s circumstances, it should read, The fate of the nation was riding that day, referring to November 5th.

I find it difficult to ignore statements by MAGA and hard right groups saying that regardless of the outcome of the election, they intend to flood the courts with civil suits and wage bloody revenge on innocent countrymen. So much indoctrination and brainwashing to overcome.

Well written Susan. Here in Texas, early voting turnout in urban counties is going strong. Texas just might flip blue, and I sure hope it does. That would be monumental. At least, it looks like we've got a good chance of a victory for Allred. Last Friday's Democrat rally was amazing. Next week I'll look forward to crying buckets of liquid relief together with all of us!

Susan Niemann: At the outset: JD Vance is one of the very worst of a very bad lot. The fruit of an Ivy League education that nakedly throws gasoline and lights a match to start prairie fires of racial violence.

Having said that: Susan Niemann: Please, please, please take time for yourself and your loved ones.

You are fighting the good fight.

You are doing what you can.

You are not responsible for the white-racist-cultists.

You are not tainted by them.

You and I oppose them and will continue to resist on behalf of states suffering under Jim Crow, like Texas, Alabama and Florida, even assuming a victory for our Joyful Warrior, Kamala Harris.

But you have memories that you LOVINGLY share of Tim and music.

You are a good, loving person who shares of Tim and music, and your sharing is so vivid and warm.

You have developed friends who care for you.

You are not and will not be alone.

I for one am privileged to have become your friend on this platform, with the hope someday to meet you.

It should be magnificent and humbling! ✌️💙

Your post really resonates. I’m scared but hopefull that we can regain our sense and strength. Nothing is ever easy and how we got here is a testament to many things. However, I strongly believe that the majority of us believe in our great experiment enough to continue the process. We as a nation have inflicted a variety of challenges upon ourselves. For the most part we’ve endured and come together. I fervently hope and believe we will once again prevail. We, our children, our grandchildren and the World are watching.

Great piece! The ones who need apologize never will. Rascim is built into our laws and society. It's weaved into threads of most societies. We have our own American Apartheid. Look at the Southern Economic Development Model (www.epi.org).

I laugh at the Davos billionaires that meet to pat each other on the back. Make deals with a cocktail in one hand and cigar in the other, hookers waiting to entertain them in their posh surroundings, all the while plotting how they can become more powerful. Fuck us! We're collateral damage.

Democracy is fragile. Wars big and small happening all over the world fighting for independence and democracy. It will always be a battle worth fighting for. There is no shortage of malignant narcissist sociopath fucking dickwads butt plugs that will try to steal it. And we witness classic invincible ignorance fallacy. Refusing to consider immutable contradictory facts to the contrary. We're stuck with fucking stupid. Now, I will get down with the help of a ladder off my fucking soapbox. 😅

Anyway, there I was talking politics with a couple of hammer-heads, showing them the Brookings Institute Biden policy agenda. Everything he's done. They were impressed. As I told you at lunch, we will win! Hopefully it will be in numbers too large to have been rigged. The tone of the rally at MSG was one that those in the seats thought was victorious, but the people who know what’s actually happening were low key, and know they have been beaten.

I’m sure the Biden administration has foreseen the possibilities for violence from the right, and are prepared for the fight. Joe is smart enough to build an economy that is the envy of the world, he is also smart enough to have prepared for the dirty tricks tfg and his minions are planning.

Thank you for this. I don't know why I'm shocked that Trump's closing argument is overt racism, has me shaking my head, and whole body. Calling Puerto Rico garbage, when PR Americans can swing the election, just shows that white supremacy is an important message for our MAGA friends. The same, 500+-year old racist playbook. Yet JD says people are just too sensitive. And Tucker told MSG that Trump's great gift has been allowing his people to stop lying and tell the truth. Yes, as Maya Angelou taught us, when people tell you who they are, believe them.

It's astounding they believe they can say these things and still win and election. Puerto Rico is furious. And rightfully so.
