(Formerly Music Monday, Charlie gave us a new name. Pretty awesome, huh!) How about some Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, amazing Spanish guitar, a new protest song, and Led Zeppelin !!

Let the music play! 🎸🎻🎺🥁🎹
Here’s a stack strictly for music… where you can discover new artists, hear old favorites you may have forgotten, and learn a little backstory on the work. Send us your favorites and we’ll try to share them here! Thanks for listening.

Is it a war? Or not a war? Or a military exercise? Or??? Our idiots in charge can’t seem to agree on what to call it. I’m going with war. So let’s listen to this performance by Nils Lofgren, a protest song suggested by long time reader and supporter of Susan Speaks, Sharon. Thank you Sharon. ✌️
Lucas Imbiriba, aside from being incredibly handsome, is incredibly talented! Spanish guitar is indeed MAGIC. I think this was sent to me a while back from Geoff Anderson, who always finds amazing music. Wonderful!
Iconic is a weak word to describe the mastery of Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant and Jimmy Page will be in the rock history books forever. In this performance, Jason, son of John Bonham, Zeppelins former drummer, is doing a fantastic job on the drums. (John Bonham died WAY too young at 32 from suffocating on his own vomit after consuming around 40 shots of vodka in 24 hours, a condition called pulmonary aspiration. Damn it.)
Anyway, this suggestion is from Charlie and I had to agree. Kashmir is a classic and if you love Zeppelin, you know it.
I once saw Tony Bennett in concert at the Fox Theater in St. Louis. I cried through almost all of it… I kid you not. AMAZINGLY, Tony was dealing with Alzheimers when he collaborated with Lady Gaga. His final concerts alongside Gaga occurred in August 2021 at Radio City Music Hall. He died in July 2023 at the age of ninety six. What a gentleman and a talent. 🥹

I love your choices. I want you to take a good listen and look at the Mavericks. They recently lost Raul Mallo. He recently lost his life to cancer, and there will not be any more Mavericks. He was the linchpin in that band, an amazing talent and amazing voice and perfect political views :-)
They were the quintessential live band, they loved to play live and they did it constantly.
Awesome playlist today! There are protest songs popping up everywhere. Gee! I wonder why?🤔 I love Spanish classical guitar! He basically turned a guitar into an orchestra. What a talent! And Led Zeppelin! That was from their final tour. Tony and Lady Gaga were a match made in heaven. That's from an album of duets that Tony did with a lot of different artists from different genres. Thanks to everyone who jumps in and checks out the Jukebox. Remember, this is an audience participation project. The request line is open! And of course, thanks Susan. She does an amazing job of compilation and production. You're the best, my friend!😃😘
