Easy Come Easy Go Get it where the wind blows, Love JJ Cale.
Watched the video, and he had the magic. Eric Clapton is a legend and JJ Cale is to it seems. I never heard of him either, ghost writer? Back then? Hmm.
I remember the days of sitting around getting high and listening to JJ with friends. He always brings back good memories. I'm not a big fan of Clapton these days. He said some shit during Covid. His past racist statements got some attention too. But, it doesn't stop me from dancing in grocery stores when this great music is playing. 😅 Yes, I do dance in stores. 😎 Hope you're doing well! ❤️
Yeah...Clapton. He really stepped in it during Covid. Pissed me off, too. I LOVE that you dance in the grocery store. I once "road" the cart across the parking lot and my teenage daughter was horrified. 😂 Good! I'm adjusting to the country, Lisa...but I am going back to Philly for a few weeks soon! 🤣 Cant stay away!! :)

Love JJ Cale. We would put on his music and rock our babies to sleep!! They’re only a year apart so a hectic beginning!! They’re 40 and 41 now - such great memories
Oh wow.... thats so cool. ❤️❤️ It really would be a great choice to help put babies to sleep. It definitely lowers my blood pressure! I hope that before he passed, Cale understood the impact he made.
J.J. Cale is one of my favorite's from way back when Clapton first played him. I actually researched him then and just loved his laid back style. I sang a bit of After Midnight myself. He, along with Gordon Lightfoot, where my go to "after a break up" soundtracks for years. Another spot on memory article.
Ahhhh, Rena. Thanks so much. Isnt it crazy how music touches a nerve at just the right time? When I first heard the JJ Cale song Tim sent me, I cried my eyes out by the side of the road. Appreciate you understanding! ✌️
.. saw JJ in Toronto - mid 70’s - a grill chef pal had 2 tickets laid on him / short notice & neither of us .. any idea who that was .. gonna be playing.. Who ? but neither of us had been inside historic Massey Hall - flasks of southern comfort, & some serious ‘black.. I kid you not - even with house lights up - the stage & main floor was a Blue Mirage of hashish smoke & spliffs comin & goin every direction & we were center Left Balcony - front row - the joint was hummin .. vibratin .. 5 or 6 seats in an arc on an empty stage .. house lights down - the ‘band comes on, sits & starts playing .. Blew us all COMPLETELY away .. 🦎🏴☠️
WOW!!!! 😳😳 LUCKY YOU! That's awesome, Thomas. I believe JJ Cale was a real gift... and I led such a sheltered life I wasn't aware of his gifts until later. But I know now! Thanks!

Hey Susan, I think music not only heals but does connect all of us. Your writing about music is amazing. It’s such a happy place to write from. Talking about, writing about, sharing and dancing too music (although I fucking suck at dancing) lmao gives such great joy❤️
I completely agree! I dance like Elaine! (Seinfeld) 😂😂 I'll need several cocktails to get on the dance floor! It does connect us all....and we need that after the disastrous Trump years. ALSO...I got a happy surprise in the mail today! My note is in the mail to you! ❤️
You're so right...so much to listen to....from the past and there is great stuff being done right now! It's an important part of our lives and touches us all! ❤️❤️
Hey Susan, I’ve missed your comments for a couple of days, I’m glad you’re ok. I figured you were very busy.
I just got my reformulated Covid shot two weeks ago, and my next scheduled colonoscopy is next year. I’ve had more of them than the average person because of my family history. The last time I had one they told me to come back in 8 years.
I've been around... although I've had a bit of company and here at the farm, thats rare! So we were thrilled to share our country B&B! Thanks for the reminder about the covid shot...I need two get that done in October ... and a flu shot!! ❤️😘
JJ Cale was a great songwriter. Artists cover his collection on the regular. By the way, Eric Clapton is a Central Ohio resident. (Married a Columbus girl)
OMG! Next time I'm through, let's go visit! 😂 Although I will say Eric pissed me off with his stand on vaccines during Covid. Stay in your musical lane, Eric. 🙄
Right...we'll knock on his door and tell him what we think. 😂😂😂I loved how Jason Isabel said he didnt want those who attended his performances getting sick. He was all about common sense.

JJ didnt want the attention, according to what I read. But his talent had other ideas!

Good day to you. 🙂
I’m so glad to have you!! 💙💙✌️
Ah, that distinctive voice and I know right away who it is. He will be missed.
So mellow, relaxed, and just pleasant. I'm glad you liked him too!
I’m a Clapton fan so I’m familiar with his songwriters. This cool dude is by far the best.
Wonderful way to begin my morning. Thanks for the sunshine.
❤️ JJ Cale can definitely be a positive start to the day! 👍

👏👏👏👏👏 That's exactly right!
Love JJ Cale, haven’t listened to his music in a very long time but it brings good memories back. Thank you for sharing this today ❣️
I’ve always thought he and Jack Johnson did similar sounds and I like Johnson’s music but JJ Calle was the best!
Plus he and Dylan … dark moody kinda country bluesy music I will never tire of listening to!
Oh yeah...same here. I love it!
He's so good, isnt he? Glad you liked it and it brought back some good memories. He was an interesting guy! ✌️

So awesome hope you enjoy it. Did it make it in one piece lol?
YES! I’m going to figure it out tomorrow-and then take it with me to Indiana on Friday! :)
Awesome 😎 and safe and happy travels
I have an event at a cemetery-and its not a funeral! 🤣 I'll hopefully write about it. More soon!
I’m excited about the note you sent Susan letter in this electronic age is a foreign concept ❤️
There's so much great music in the world, thanks for sharing it with us. That's my favorite version of After Midnight too, I like the slower tempo.
You're so right...so much to listen to....from the past and there is great stuff being done right now! It's an important part of our lives and touches us all! ❤️❤️

Thank you Susan (and Tim). Sweet music, so good for the soul.
It does tend to lower your blood pressure. 😂 I'm glad you enjoyed it, Mike! 💙✌️
Thank you Susan. Love JJ Cale. I wasn’t too familiar with him back in the day. But I’m a huge Tom Petty fan and he turned me on JJ Cale! Music heals!
You are so right...Music does heal. It can turn your should inside out! Tom Petty....outstanding. I'm going to the gym soon...I'll crank him up!
Thanks for being here Joanne!

People in Dublin have seen him out shopping.
Very cool.
